Containerizing

There have been cases wherein big shipping lines' Roll-on/Roll off (Ro-Ro) carriers are overbooked and constantly shipping beyond their capabilities. This unfavorable situation prevents freight forwarders, NVOCCs and even exporters to find space aboard vessels.

Before the advent of Ro-Ro carriers, vehicles have been transported by shipping containers. Containerizing vehicles is often viewed as more expensive compared to Ro-Ro. However, this is usually due to containers having a set transportation cost and being grossly under utilized. Most vehicles that travel in containers only occupy approximately 70% of the container's capacity despite the exporter paying for 100% of the space.

Loading configurations depend solely on the type of vehicle and size of container. However, with proper handling, it is possible to move as many as six vehicles in a forty-foot high cube container as opposed to the normal two or three. With the assistance of top mechanical engineers, we have maximized the capacity of all containers using our own racking and loading systems. This essentially reduces the overall transportation cost of each unit and the customer enjoys the benefits of receiving their cargo safely and securely at an economical price.
